VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: 

  • Office Assistant Volunteer

      Connections for Life Office Assistants help make the office run smoothly, enabling us to reach out to more people and become more efficient and organized.  Requirements include a great desire to work with people, good communication skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, being able to multi-task, good with details and a willingness to provide administrative assistance to the Director and Administrator.  Required time would be a minimum of 4 hours per month.  Morning or afternoon is acceptable.

  • Food Pantry Coordinator Volunteer

      The Food Pantry Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operation of the Food Pantry which is open on the second and fourth Fridays of each month.  This Coordinator is responsible for maintaining records, overseeing the preparation of food bags, and assisting the Intake Clerk.  Required time would be 8-12 hours per month over several days.

  • Food Pantry Intake Clerk Volunteer

      Intake Clerks deal directly with our Food Pantry Clients, interviewing them and validating their qualifications to receive food.  We are looking for four individuals to serve in this position.  Hours would be 8 AM - 1 PM and 1 PM - 5 PM on the second and fourth Fridays of each month.

  • Bargain Depot Volunteer

       Typical duties of Bargain Depot Volunteers might include sorting donations, tagging merchandise, hanging clothing, stocking shelves and racks, straightening the sales floor, arranging merchandise displays, testing and/or repairing small appliances, putting together furniture, and most important of all, greeting customers.  You get to choose where your talents will best be utilized.  Call us - there's something for everyone!
